The most important Amino Acids to include in a recovery supplement are Essential Amino Acids (EAA's) as they cannot be produced by your body and must be taken in through diet or supplementation. Furthermore, Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAA's) are the most important of the EAA's, primarily because of Leucine which is known as the anabolic trigger. Charged Amino's leading ingredient is Lecuine in a 2:1:1 BCAA Blend (compare to Taurine as the leading ingredient in Amino Energy) and also includes 8 of the 9 EAA's (only Tryptophan was left out).
Charged Amino is one of the only caffeinated Amino products to include electrolytes to help keep you hydrated. Electrolytes help you retain water and are lost through sweat when you exercise. Hydration is an important part of recovery, and without being properly hydrated your body cannot perform up to it's potential.
For anytime energy, mix 2 scoops with 16oz water. For pre workout, consume 4-6 scoops 15-20 minutes prior to your exercise session. Do not exceed 6 scoops in a 4 hour period.

As a former Amino Energy user, I was interested in seeing the difference between this and amino. It blew amino out of the water! It doesn't leave the build up in the bottom of the shaker like amino, so ur not constantly having to re-shake this up before taking a drink. I noticed with amino I would get a stomach ache after drinking a little but not with this. It doesn't jack you up like a pre-workout if you take the 2 scoops but it keeps you focused and energized enough throughout the day, especially for me since I work 2 jobs and get little sleep sometimes. Its awesome!!!

Introduced me to #chargedamino and let me tell you, this stuff rocks!!!! Not only does it help keep me going but it helps me focus too.. It doesn't jack you up and then bring it down, it just keeps you going at a normal pace throughout the day.
Now comparing it to amino energy by ON:
*Charge Amino doesnt continually build up residue along the bottom of your shaker like amino
* The Blue Raz flavor I have is better than most of the amino flavors I've tried
* It didnt give me the stomach aches that amino did many days
* The price is better
*Mixes much better and doesnt appear to harden like amino does sometimes

As a longtime Amino Energy user I love the taste of this product. I didn't think it could get much better than the grape flavored Amino energy, but candy grape blows it out of the water. Literally tastes like nerds candy.
The profile of this amino is better than Amino Energy as well. While AE uses taurine as it's main ingredient, Charged Amino uses branch chain amino acids in the proven 2:1:1 ratio. This is better for recovery, although I would still use a dedicated BCAA/EAA supplement for intra/post workout. Charged Amino also contains electrolytes which is awesome for something you drink throughout the day. I used to worry about getting dehydrated drinking caffeinated drinks, but now I am actually helping hydrate myself by taking in extra electrolytes.
This product mixes very well and is a little more clear than Amino Energy. 2 scoops also perfectly flavors 16oz of water so it's perfect to sip on throughout the day. It has replaced Bang and other energy products for my afternoon pick me up.
